Incense Burner
Project: Fourth-Year CNC

This project involved creating a program for a part featuring 2D and 3D toolpaths, following specific requirements such as an angled slope, convex and concave features, a fillet, engraving, a chamfered edge, a flat-bottom pocket, etc. The stock was limited to a 4-inch cubed block of high-density foam and required the use of specific milling tools. The machining was performed on a Haas TM-3 mill. The final design is an incense burner intended for small joss sticks.

The final machined piece will either be used as a positive for casting or kept as a prototype for the final design, which will be machined in aluminum.
